Recent Ocean Shore Resort Review: "We recently spent two nights in an oceanfront room and had a wonderful time there. The pool was nice and warm and very big plus deep enough for diving. The room was a typical hotel room and was clean and very cold. The sliding glass door was heavy and you have to push/pull to open and shut it but it needs to be for security reasons. I read some of the  bad reviews but we had no problem with roaches or bugs and everything in the room worked fine. There were no hairdryers but who needs one at the beach. The room did get damp if you leave the sliding glass door open and this happens at any beachfront home. The new owners were from Hungary and spoke little English and were very hardworking. They have fixed most of the problems and have done a great job of improving the conditions there. For the price you can not beat it and you will have a very pleasant stay there. As for any roaches we did see one in the breakfast room but these are the flying kind and are impossible to get rid of completely in Florida. Overall I will recommmend this as an economical place to have a beach vacation at Daytona. One warning, my son's truck was towed away because I forgot to get another parking pass for him and the parking lot is strickly patrolled due to daytime beach traffic and illegal parking. Enjoy the pool and the beach and spend your extra money on something fun! The purpose of our trip was to watch the last shuttle launch which we did after driving down to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge."
