Recent Plaza Resort Review: "As a business traveler with a nightly room rate limit, I was surprised to see that this hotel had an oceanfront king room within my budget. I was very pleased with the stay. The king-size bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows - something even major hotel chains don't always get right. There was a small (maybe full-size, definitely not queen) sofabed in the room. The sofa part wasn't awesomely comfortable but was serviceable and looked like the oldest piece of furniture in the room. The oceanfront room had a nice balcony with comfortable patio chairs and a nice patio table. There was a large plasma TV with a pretty good line-up but a few of the major cable channels were out. Kitchenette included coffee maker, glasses, microwave, kitchen sink and fridge but no plates/silverware (even though there's a dish drainer and detergentr). Biggest drawback for business travelers is there's no desk in the room. I worked most of the time on the coffee table or out on the patio, which my back did not appreciate.
There's a nice restaurant downstairs as well as a "marketessen" that sells everything from grocery items to beer, wine and champagne, to suntan lotion and hot food. The pool looked very nice with plenty of lounge chairs plus a beach volleyball court down in the sand. Valet is included in the resort charge."
